OMG, anyone remember this show?
I used to watch it almost every day with my best friend after school. Almost forgot how uncool cool it was. ^^

Oh, and since I have to wear glasses now... *faints* Avi says, I'm his personal Daria now. *lols* Yeah, freak 4lyf. ^^

Have a nice weekend, folks.

I promised my little cousin (8 years old) to watch Arielle with her today, and because I love this movie (and this scene) so much, I thought it's time for a little favorite-movie-scene-clip sharing. *gg*

Disney movies are always good if you wanna feel like a 8-year-old again. *giggles*

^^

Have a nice, sunny and lovely weekend, darlings!

So, just a few hours of 2007 left. Don't know about you, but it was a very short year for me. Well, at least it felt very short. I have no idea where all the days have gone so quickly.
Whatever...

I wanna wish you a wonderful, awesome, amazing, funny, happy and lucky NEW YEAR!
May all your dreams and wishes come true and may the new year be a good one.

You Are 32% Weirdo

You're a little weird, but you'd be even weirder if you didn't have a few quirks.

You are just strange enough to know it, but nobody else seems to notice your weirdness.

That's because, deep down, everyone is a little freaky!

You Should Be an Actor

You have a flair for the dramatic, and you probably already do a lot of acting in your day to day life, just to entertain yourself.

No need to steal the spotlight from your friends... You'll get plenty of attention once you start acting professionally!

On the fourth of October in 1982, Mr. Glenn Gould, one of the most talented pianists since Bach and Beethoven,
died in Toronto.
I fell in love with him and his music almost ten years ago. And I have no idea what my life would have
been without him. Here are some quotes from the biography about him that I bought this morning.

Few pianists play the instrument so beautifully, so lovingly, so musically in manner, and with such regard for its real nature and its enormous literature... Glenn Gould is a pianist with rare gifts for the world. It must not long delay hearing and according him the honor and audience he deserves. We know of no pianist anything like him of any age.

Glenn Gould made every note a gem of loveliness. Scale at all sorts of speed were singing things of many-shaded beauty...Genius as profound as their own was at the keyboard.

“Art is not convenience, is not just one feature of some structure; it is an independent organism
and each single representation of it is independent as well. It is its intrinsic nature to be
released by the nobles aspiration of man and addressed to the nobles aspiration of man,
to be released by man’s profoundest demands on himself, by his conscious desire for contact
with invisible reality and unequivocal truth.” - Glenn Gould

 Glenn Gould 1932-1982

The first piece, played by Gould, I've ever heard was the Aria of the Goldberg Variations.
It was the day I fell in love with this wonderful artist who died one year before I was born.
And now, almost ten years later, I'm still trying to learn how to play that piece. :D
(I have to take some more piano lessons I guess....)

And, I've finished my first Glenn Gould painting today. *yeahh... and it doesn't look that bad;)*

One Summer Night

The fact that Henry Armstrong was buried did not seem to him to prove that he
was dead: he had always been a hard man to convince. That he really was buried,
the testimony of his senses compelled him to admit. His posture -- flat upon his
back, with his hands crossed upon his stomach and tied with something that he
easily broke without profitably altering the situation -- the strict confinement
of his entire person, the black darkness and profound silence, made a body of
evidence impossible to controvert and he accepted it without cavil...

Enjoy!

Watched Tim Burton's 'Ed Wood' on the big screen again. Man, I love that movie. Here's one of my favorite scenes. When Ed Wood and Bela Lugosi are watching TV on Halloween. ^__^

[on the reason for the success of 'Dracula(1931)']

Bela Lugosi: They were mythic. They had a poetry to them.

Edward D. Wood, Jr.: Yes.

Bela Lugosi: And you know what else? The women... the women

preferred the traditional monsters.

Edward D. Wood, Jr.: The women? Huh?

Bela Lugosi: The pure horror, it both repels, and attracts them,

because in their collective unconsiousness, they have the agony of

childbirth. The blood. The blood is horror.

Edward D. Wood, Jr.: You know, I never thought of that.

Bela Lugosi: Take my word for it. If you want to make out with a

young lady, take her to see "Dracula".

Funny thing is, the first movie my boyfriend and I have seen together was Dracula. ^__-
(But in this case, it was me who took him to see it. )

Randomnessss...

Today seems like another of those late summer hot humid days with
temperature in the mid 20's (80's in Farenheit I guess), the kind spurs up just before winter arrives.
I like those days. I'm walking around wearing a smile on my face.
(though I'm one of those people who get easily affected by the weather. Weird but can't help it.)
Then it all changed an hour ago - the orange sun took a hike behind the
gathering clouds up in the sky.  The trees and the grass became greener, the
air became cooler, where ever my eyes fell I saw colors, colors that were worn
out, over-exposed minutes ago become alive, vibrant. And a light rain began to fall.
And it made me a little sad, because my digital camera is fooling me and I wasn't able to take more pictures... *sighs

Just Moritz chillin' in the afternoon sun. ^__^  Isn't he pretty?

Just a short post...
and the happy note that I feel good again. Not just because I don't feel as despressed anymore
but also because of the three hour phone call with my honey. It was so much fun and we talked
about so many things. And..I'm gonna see him in October for two weeks! *dances around*
My mood has gotten better and better these last days, and I hope it'll stay this way.
Ah..holidays are over, school starts again tomorrow. It's my last year and I hope it'll be fun. (unless

I have no idea what's going on with me. It all started with terrible
mood swings a few days ago, and now I feel depressed most of the time. I start
crying for no reason at all, I have no energy and feel down. I don't feel motivated
for anything, I could sleep the whole day through and have no appetite.
It really sucks. And I know that I have absolutely no reason to feel this way! But still...
Well, I really hope this will be over soon and that it just comes from the stress I've been
having lately with my mom and my boyfriend...

And could someone please tell me where the summer has gone?? I want it
back! Immediately. And no one dare to take it away from me again.
Otherwise I'll...I'll...I'll start crying!
So dear fall, I know you are the culprit, you'd
better not mess with me!

There's this beautiful but also very sad song, Edith Piaf (I love her) is singing and I'm listening to it since a while. Today I've found the english translation and now, with her voice in my ear and the words on paper... it made me almost cry... *I'm a little sentimental today, it's raining and... so I guess I'm much more susceptible to things like that than usual...* But that song's so wonderful...
if you ever get the chance... listen to it!
